That is why Gustavo Rivera is committed to bringing high-paying, quality jobs to the Bronx by connecting employers to jobseekers and supporting programs and educational institutions that prepare our workforce to be competitive in today’s economy. Gustavo Rivera knows that successful small businesses are critical to a successful economy.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Delivered millions of dollars for Small Business Recovery Grants to help business owners sustain their businesses as they recover from the pandemic.

• Partnered with the Department of Labor and Small Business Services to make sure small business owners can access grants, loans, and programs to alleviate costs.

• Secured over $1 million to repair and upgrade the Arthur Avenue Market.

• Secured over $100 million to redevelop the Kingsbridge Armory.

• Co-hosted multiple job fairs throughout the 33rd Senate District that have led hundreds of Bronx residents to secure interviews and land jobs.

• Partnered with the Department of Labor and our local libraries to help Bronx residents with their resumes and connect them to opportunities that fit their skills and career goals.
